I am a life-long student and I always seek intellectual fulfillment and opportunities to learn new skills. My list of things to learn and experience is long, and I thrive when I put myself in situations where I am challenged, a bit uncomfortable, and must overcome obstacles to achieve success.

I started my athletic journey at age six when I joined my local basketball team in Latvia. Passion and motivation for basketball helped me earn a spot on the national team and earn full athletic scholarships in the United States and Canada.

I studied Psychology at Fordham University and while playing Division 1 basketball against some of the best players in the United States. Then, I came to Canada and earned a Master's degree in Neuroscience while playing for the women's basketball team at the University of Lethbridge.

All my years at the highest levels in athletics and diverse experiences have shaped me and led me to see sports from different perspectives. Obviously, I had my hurdles to overcome. My athletic and personal challenges includes cultural differences, serious injuries, relationships, team dynamics, family issues, and self-esteem.

Now, I can pass on my knowledge to those who are navigating the highs and lows of their athletic career. Since I was young, I have always sought opportunities to help people in many ways. I find true joy when I can positively impact others and inspire them to overcome any obstacles that impede their progress.

My combination of education in psychology and neuroscience have helped me to develop skills and the knowledge to examine human behaviour from two important perspectives - psychological and neuro-behavioural. My work experience and academic studies greatly complement the work I do with elite athletes to unlock their full potential and improve their mental and physical abilities.
